The goal of BBH is to equip you with the knowledge and skill sets needed to constructively cope with the various changes that typically occur during the first three years after your baby is born.
In the BBH workshop, you and your partner will learn how to:
Strengthen your friendship
Increase intimacy and affection
Work through conflict with greater ease
Maintain relationship satisfaction
Reduce hostility
Create positive parent-child interactions
Ensure quality involvement for both parents
Reduce the incidence or severity of perinatal mood disorders
Not only will this program teach you what to expect during the transition to parenthood, it will also help you do things like:
Better understand child development
Create co-parenting strategies with your partner
Improve the way you and your partner communicate, connect, and compromise
Recognize signs of perinatal mood disorders and gain awareness of treatment options
In the BBH workshop, you and your partner will learn how to do the following:

Q: Who is Bringing Baby Home right for?
A: BBH is designed for couples who are planning to have a baby, expecting a baby soon, or have an infant age 0-3. This class is not appropriate for couples in a physically or emotionally abusive relationship, couples where one or both partners have an active substance abuse problem, or a partner has severe mental illness.
Q: Is this couples therapy?
A: No. Bringing Baby Home is a psychoeducational workshop.
Q: Can I attend by myself?
A: The BBH program is designed to teach tools to strengthen your relationship. Because of this, couples need to participate together.
Q: I want to participate in the workshop, but would rather do so privately with just me and my partner, or the schedule does not work for us. Are there other options?
A: Yes! I am able to provide the workshop in a private format. Contact me to discuss options!
